The amazing human body

What amazes me most is the human body's resiliance. It can take a quite a beating & heal itself. People survive the most incredible falls, crashes, invasive surgery, etc.

I'm also amazed my body was able to push out a 9lb 2ozs baby out of an opening normally much much too small for that sort of thing.

LOL--I so hear you. I am 5'2" and weighed 130 lbs when I had an 8-pounder myself. Amazing, isn't it?

What amazes me is how much you forget about the actual childbirth once it is over. I realize that if you didn't the world would not be very populated.

I will never forget when I was pg with my first and going through the lamaze classes. I swore there was no way, no how that was going to work! But it did :)

Yep, 9lbs is pretty darn big...well done! I'm pretty proud of my 7lb15oz achievement but you've really surpassed that!!! LOL

I never got to experience natural birth, had to have c-sections both times. My pelvic bones where too narrow. I only found out the day I went in to have my son! I was two weeks overdue and had had enough and they were going to induce me and break my waters, but then did an internal and a scran last minute and it was advised I rather go for a c-secion as i was told I could go into labour, stuggle for hours only to have it end in a c-section anyway. Disappointing, but still the whole birthing process anyway is incrediable!!
